"Dovim with Elephants, one of Richar
d Avedon's most famous photographs, is a study in contrasts: rough vs. smooth, dirty vs. clean, massive vs. small. It has balance, proportion, scale, rhythm, power and a wide range of textures and tones, all of which are key principles of any good design be it a painting, photograph, or a flower arrangement. In my interpretation, I have used many of the same principles to convey the 'beauty and the beast' feel of the photograph."
